Subject: Bill Anderson talks about Don Helms …. This is great ….

Hi friends

Unfortunately, an era when country music has been dying slowly, legend by legend, during a period fifty-five years, finally came to an unhappy conclusion yesterday morning here in Nashville.

Don Helms, the great steel guitar player, died. He was the last surviving member of Hank Williams € ™ original band derived Cowboys.

He was also one of the funniest and the best men human beings it has ever been my privilege to know.

[More:]

If you are depressed and needed a good Laughter to cheer you up, I called Don Helms. If you wanted someone to tell the true story of Hank Williams € | his songs, charisma, and his demons … called you Don Helms. You wanted a large steel player who never changed his style over the years, but whose style never went out of fashion, has named Don Helms.

Iâ € ™ ll never forget one night not long after I came to Nashville when I came home from a tour in the back of the Cadillac € Wilburn Brothers ™ long black. Don was working for them at that time, both by road as a musician and businessman in his editorials and offices of the reservation. On this special night was also his chauffeur, climbing somewhere under the wheel in Michigan and pointed to the car, as he had done so many times during his career, to Nashville.

For some reason, I couldnâ € ™ t fall asleep that night, so he leaned over the back of the driver € ™ s seat and began Don ask questions about Hank Williams. I found more than willing to talk, to share storiesâ € | some amusing, some sada € | hypnotizing me miles after a long dark miles.

He spoke of long days and nights on the road before a car with air conditioning and interstate highways € |. About Hanka € ™ s incredible back Paina € | about problems with Audrey € | about how he liked Fisha € | how much he liked Bocephusâ € | and how he could turn a phrase and write a song in almost no time. Hank had been my hero childhood, and I find one on one with the man responsible for much of his musical sound was almost more than a boy with eyes open in Georgia could take.

In later years, when I needed someone to come and talk about Hank in my radio program, Don was there. When we need a legend in January this year to play the steel guitar in our country € ™ s Family Reunion videos, Don was there. For the rest of my life I will remember donâ € ™ s â € œCold playing Cold Heart €? for himself in the studio full of stars, Vince Gill sat nearby with tears in her face. When the song ended, Vince looked at the rest of us gathered in the room and said: â € œGuys, thatâ € ™ S why he came to Nashville.â €?

I consider myself very lucky to have known and traveled and existed in the presence of Don Helms. His music will live forever.

I just wish could have done the same.

Bill Anderson

Well ……… How did you feel after Having read the article? Do you agree with Vince Gill?

No! Well, I tried again to express what our country is now missing as companies in the country! He lacks respect for the older high ……… I miss the love …….. goodness …….. good …….. respect of heritage in every way! Do Vince Gill show some kind of weakness, crying for that reason as that? Living near the country music legends today show no respect, and which are ignored by many in the country today, for me people, Vicente is caring, loving, respectful man, and in my book, these features ……….. height of an honorable man, standing in a multitude of corporate selfishness, is what I get to superstars like Vince Gill!

Vince Gill and others like him, are the giants of our country, and support them and their music is what always will ……… despite the corporate action against stars like Vince Gill for speaking out against their actions in ignoring the many legends of country!

I do not care if someone does not like to use the old expression, "The Black letters" for about 'Against: the machine "(Country of company), and if Vince Gill and other stars are not" Black marking the country's business, then why was not aware of what These superstars are doing lately? Media is ignoring its business that's why! And do not tell me nobody wants to hear more because Vince Gill her voice is not as good as it was! That is a lie if someone says that! He never sounded better than now!

Bill Anderson himself is a legend band country music! How many of you really know Bill? Even today is a live band! I must admit I did not know him well ………. but I want him! I know this, and I played music for years …….. and I'll go to the tomb still playing his music to his last news! Will I cry if I had the opportunity to be in the company of Vince Gill, Bill Anderson, George Jones, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, Little Jimmy, and many other legendary stars in one place for a moment …….. you can bet it would be ……. would be an honor to be treasure for life!

Unfortunately, many in the country now simply laugh at such an event ……… that they see as one of old stars grow old together, and the promoters of old country music like me who can not let the past go! Is this how issue you feel about this band? After all, Vince Gill is not that old yet? He feels what I feel about these old stars in the country, those living in today, and those who have died, and Tammy, Johnny, and Conway Twitty!

You see ………. gang I'm not alone in this profession feels country music companies that country has managed to take the human aspect of our country. Just look around you, listen to the music of these countries now living legends NEW today buy some of his latest songs, and listen to your glasses, you can hear the cry for justice from singing these old stars? If you really want to be a person field then allow their music to reach their hearts!

The young stars of the country still can learn from the old stars ………… and such time if they can see what Vince Gill, Bill Anderson and others like us, are trying to convey to all rural people …….. then perhaps these young stars have someone like Vince Gill cry of the memory of them when they die and leave the city.

Sincerely gang

Sincerely,

Jimmy Stix
