Can the Civic OEM style fog light covers paint?
I want to buy the OEM fog lights for my black 93 Civic, but cannot stand the color silver caps. (See the fog lights on Ebay to see what I'm talking about). Can the plastic covers will be painted a dark color like black? If so what is the best way? Thanks
Yes you can paint. Just remove the plastic cover of the fog light assembly, painting, reassemble and install. Easy. Be sure to scrape with a 3M pad wear, wipe with a tack cloth, and put at least three layers of paint. When dry sand and humid with 1500 grit sandpaper and transparent layer. All materials are available at your local automotive paint. If you do not properly paint flakes off very quickly, probably after the first wash.
