Why is my cat so needy?!?
My cat’s usual personality is relatively independent, but lately she follows me around the house constantly meowing. So I check her bowls, full and pet her for a bit then give her a treat.
but still she is constantly there, and if I look at her she meows, of if I sit down she is constantly rubbing against my leg.
It is getting to be like a child crying constantly. Like a needy baby! I’m feeling a little suffocated to be honest and losing my patience. She should be named shadow not lexi.
FYI she is a 3 year old pastel tortoise-shell small cat.
I love Cats and have them. But, I can tell you from experience she needs a companion. They do better when they have another cat living with them. And taking care of two isn’t much different than taking care of one.
I have had single cats, but they weren’t happy looking back. I would never do that again. Most cats aren’t needy they are very independent. My cats are but they love human affection and I am expected to love on each of them each and every day, some one on one with each of them. They all love one another and never fight. Think about getting it a companion. There are so many kittens that need the home you can provide. Your cat will be happier too..
