Makeup for cancer patients: Teaching your clients stay beautiful inside and out!

Therefore, your client has cancer, and she's experiencing the skin and facial changes during treatment and she turned to you the Professional Makeup artist to help? This is for you.
As a makeup artist, it is important to be nice, and knowledgeable of what a cancer patient is going through. There are some things that a patient has no control over, but informed artist can teach take charge of their beauty regimen. Because cancer is not a joke, Some might think that ask what would compel a patient to focus on beauty in a time like this. Here's my thinking on that …

The way we look affects how we feel about ourselves. So how a patient feels about herself can dramatically affect how you feel physically. There is a significant relationship between self-esteem and important physical recovery of patients with cancer. If the treatment has changed her appearance as a professional, it is necessary to adopt a positive attitude help them change their perspective. Teach them to take over the way they look, you can reap extraordinary benefits including: renewed self-esteem, depression relief and a sense of power and control.

Chemotherapy and radiotherapy can wreak havoc on the skin of a patient. Like the rest of your body, your skin should be treated with kindness during this time. So, I've compiled a list of great tips to show you the artist, how to help their clients through the thorny process. Although, I have tried these tips on real patients, make sure their clients to consult with your doctor before starting this or any other beauty plan into action.
A common disease of chemotherapy and radiation treatments the skin is sensitive. If your client's skin becomes dry, itchy, or you decide to shoot, the use of products labeled as "soft, tender" is the key. Here are some guidelines for their clients adhere by:

SKIN:

* Make sure you get approval from your doctor for all topical applications, including creams, makeup, sunscreen, etc.

* Make sure you have to adjust your Skin Care regimen, if your skin type has changed.

* Ask them to keep the water hot, hot, instead of opting for. Hot water can dry the skin out and make their existing skin conditions worse. Hot water is softer and more gentle for sensitive skin.

* Advise to affected areas never scrub! This can cause breakage of the skin and cause infection.

* Recommend that resist the temptation to scratch the itch! Cornstarch can help control itching. Only they have a mixture of water and cornstarch to make a paste and apply to affected areas.

* If you get any rash, have to wait until your skin heals completely before shaving or applying anything on it. Also, have your doctor check before applying any product on broken skin.
* Cancer treatment can increase vulnerability to infection, so remember to keep them hygiene a high priority. Recommend to always wash your hands before using the product and the covers are closed completely. In addition, to keep fingers out of containers, use clean cotton balls, swabs or applicators disposable sponge-tip for dispensing. And finally, never share products and always replace them in accordance to the manufacturer's recommendations.

MAKEUP:
As makeup artists know that the application of "more heavy "makeup never make your skin look better. In fact, we know that the result will be very unnatural. Instead, customers are opting for a natural look, fresh and healthy by using a light hand application.

* Correcting Concealer-Used to hide stains or discoloration on the skin. cream formulas or stick better work, as they tend to be thicker. Pro Tip: "dotted" on it and mix well with fingers or a disposable sponge. Choose the right color is so important like consistency. In general, the color should match the skin tone of your customer. However, a slightly lighter color is often suggested to fill spots dark as the circles under the eyes. There is also the correct color green color correction (to compensate for red) or yellow (to minimize discoloration blue). Therefore, do not be afraid to try different techniques and products to find what works best for your client.

* Foundation and Dust "We know this is the basis of a great makeup application. Choose from light and creamy liquid stick varieties that blend more easily on delicate skin, or fast-setting versions mate. Moisturizer or moisturizing formulas offer extra help for dry skin. When choosing a look for moisturizing formula containing sodium hyaluronate, urea, allantoin, serine, glycerin, tocopherol and tocopherol acetate, as these ingredients are highly emollient. Foundation should match the natural skin tone of the customer.

Pro Tip: To avoid the dreaded "look" mask, apply small strips of two or three different colors next to each other on the cheek of the client. The color combination perfectly with your skin tone is correct. Once you have found your perfect shade, the next step is the right application. To add only basis to areas really need it, such as the forehead, the sides of his nose and chin. The key here is that even-on skin tone. After doing this step, you can go back and add additional corrective discolored areas, if necessary.
Finally, a light application of translucent shades or slightly Loose Powder with a ball cotton or a brush to lay the foundations and powders help control shine. Pressed Powder compacts work well for touch ups. However, if the skin is very dry or scaly you may want to skip completely dry.

* Blush-Now that you have matched the skin tone, it's time to bring back its essence by adding a little color. I think that great works Powder Blush, however, if the client is very dry skin, you can try a cream blush on the foundation (if you opt for cream blush, remember to skip the translucent powder). Subtle pink, peach and shades of tan, a great job in most skin tones. To get an idea of natural color, apply a light layer of blush with a brush blush on the apples of your cheeks. From blush brushes are not used, be sure to explain to his client of the importance of washing their own brushes regularly in baby shampoo (no alcohol or antibacterial soap, which can damage the brush) and accommodation with dry air to prevent accumulation of bacteria. Be sure to try some different nuances blush before finding the perfect.

* "When eyebrows eyebrows thin or fall out during treatment, it is easy recreate them by choosing a color Eyebrow Pencil in the client's current hair or a wig color. I usually like the color the eyebrows a shade lighter than your natural hair / color wig. It illuminates the complexion and it does not look harsh or artificial. Going too dark will result in a look that is too harsh and unflattering. Below against its natural form. Hold the pencil up against the nose of the client, parallel to the inner corner of your eye – and place a point on the brow bone to indicate where eyebrow begins. Click to look ahead, place the pencil parallel to the outer edge of the iris and place a dot to mark the highest point on the arc. Finally, place the pen diagonally across the bottom of the nose to the outer corner of your eyes – and place a point where the brow ends.
To recreate the brow, connect three points with a pencil with small feathers, upward strokes to simulate the appearance of hair. After achieving a desired shape, follow with a brow powder or shadow mate eyes the color of the pen to "adjust" the eyebrow. This is an important step, because most are eyebrow pencil a bit of wax, and if not set correctly, the eyebrow can look oily and disappear during the day.

* Eyeliner and eye shadow: As artists educated know that the purpose of shadows eyes and in coatings is to clarify, define and accentuate the eyes. Start by applying the lightest shade of eye shadow from the top of the brow bone as a basis. Then add shadow to the top half of the lashes to the crease. For further definition, add the deepest shade along the crease. Mix well! Then feathers short strokes and draws the line at the top of the upper eyelid at the lash line, then underneath the lash line below (not inside the rim).

Pro Tip: Blend the lines with a Q-tip for a soft and sensual. A line works fine stained dark shadow eyes, too. Inform your customers that, as a cautionary note, permanent makeup is not advisable in your skin before or during treatment of cancer. Since its immune system may be weaker now, that poses a greater risk of infection. When choosing colors of the shadows and liners, feel free to experiment with color. After all, it's just makeup, it slips!

* Mascara-Restores a look of thinning eyelashes. Apply two or three coats of mascara to the top of the then-top tabs. Then gently brush the wand to fill the lower lashes. While false eyelashes can be regarded as belonging to his client, require adhesives that may be too strong for their sensitive skin. Be sure to consult your doctor before applying.

* Lipstick-Select a lipstick in a color that complements your chosen Palette Makeup. Cover the lips and melt in line for a natural look. Creamy, moisturizing lipsticks provide relief for dry lips. Make sure it all off with some Lip Gloss for a plump, sexy glow!
Having a basic knowledge on how to improve the appearance of his client during this difficult time, may provide an opportunity to experiment and grow as an artist. It is also part of our work to inform customers of the many resources available for women and men undergoing cancer treatment problems. Tell your stylist can have them help choose a style of wig that both flattering and comfortable.
